Capt. April Morgan joined the PCSO Jail staff as a corrections officer in 2014, and became the Jail Administrator in 2017, having exhibited a high level of responsibility and general management. Sheriff Weems knew he had made the right decision when, two years later, she was named Jail Administrator of the Year in 2019, for the outstanding job she has performed.
The award was given at the annual Tennessee Corrections Institute annual conference in 2019. Morgan said she was totally caught off guard by this honor, but Sheriff Weems said she has been the best Jail Administrator the PCSO has had in his time with this office.
Well done, Captain Morgan!
