When someone is arrested, the first step is to go to jail and be processed.  Processing is when you are photographed, finger printed, and entered in a criminal database.

The next step is having a bond set.  Everyone must have a bond set, no matter the crime.  The bond is determined by how many charges, what types of charges, flight risk, and more variables.  At that time you can talk to a bondsman who will ask questions about your circumstances to determine if you are bondable.  A bond costs 10% of the value assigned to your case,  plus any fees for the bondsman.

If you are unable to make bond, then you a guest of the Perry County Jail until such time as you are seen for arraignment by a judge, normally Judge Katerina V. Moore in General Sessions.
