With a population of 7,962, and 423 square miles to cover, PCSO has two sergeants managing 15 patrol officers. These officers provide primary law enforcement to all of Perry County, including Linden and Lobelville.
The Patrol Division officers are there to assist everyone, uphold the law, and make sure we are all protected. As one of the Command Staff officers stated, "I do believe this is the finest group of men and women we've had in my 20 years in the Sheriff's Office."
While the Perry County Sheriff’s office may not be largest Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee, it is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). And the PCSO Uniform Patrol Division is home to some of the nation’s finest law enforcement professionals who provide primary law enforcement services to Perry County. A variety of enforcement strategies are used to improve the quality of life for our citizens. Crime statistics and trends are monitored daily to identify “hot spots” and develop crime forecast to deploy our resources efficiently.
The training for a deputy in the Perry County Sheriff's Office is attendance at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA). Be sure to visit the Training page in this website for more information on them.
